ITN had recognised the benefits offered by a Citrix environment some time ago, but due to a non-compatibility issue with its major in-house application nothing could be done …….until recently. ITN selected Point to Point Ltd to implement a solution that would help it deliver the news reports and background information to and from the ‘field’ from anywhere in the world. Amongst other benefits, it helped realise huge cost savings in equipment transport, as well as reducing the exposure and challenges that transporting expensive hardware to and from war zones (and other similar areas) can bring for an international news organisation.
